Your driver will pick you up from the hotel to begin a cultural tour of the Ourika Valley, starting at Aghmat. This ancient caravan town is rich in history and home to the mausoleum of the poet-prince Al Mutamid Ibn Abbad. On Fridays, the village hosts a traditional souk where locals trade goods, spices, and handmade crafts, offering a fascinating introduction to the region’s heritage.

Next, continue to Tnine Ourika, which hosts a lively Berber market every Monday where you can explore local traditions and sample fresh produce. As part of the journey, you will visit a local Berber home to experience rural customs and warm hospitality firsthand.

Following the river, stop at Aghbalou to see a traditional hydraulic watermill that remains fully operational, showcasing ancestral craftsmanship and how local communities adapt to the mountainous terrain. From there, head to Setti Fatma, the valley’s iconic village. In the summer, its cool climate offers a refreshing escape from the city heat, while winter reveals snow-capped Atlas peaks. Here, you can walk to the famous waterfalls or take in the panoramic views of terraced fields and olive groves.
