We will pick-up you from your accommodation, then we drive to the Middle Atlas mountain range. Our destination is the beautiful city of Meknes, located some 200 kilometers away. We will arrive there after a journey of approximately two hours and a half.

When we arrive in what was once the capital of Morocco for more than half a century, we will start to explore enchanting Meknes with a walk around the colorful market brimming with traditional products.

We Begin by the beautiful gateway of Bab Mansour, the largest in the country and northern Africa. You will also encounter the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, who reigned as sultan of Morocco from 1672 up until his death in 1721 and who made Meknes the capital of the Empire.

Later, you will have your own free time to take lunch in a local restaurant, where you can try the local gastronomy.

Then we leave meknes to discover the history that seeps through the stunning Roman city of Volubilis, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997. It was founded by the Carthaginians in the 3rd century BC and was almost completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1755. Here you will tour the ancient ruins and admire the impressive mosaic decoration which has been preserved just as it was originally.
